A Journey of Grace, Now Rooted in Chicago’s Humboldt Park Neighborhood
Pastor Andrew Cota and his wife Alisa Cota are a family built on God’s grace. Married for more than two decades, their journey began as childhood friends—meeting first in 2nd grade, reconnecting in junior high, and then later crossing paths again at his brother’s wedding. That divine appointment led them into marriage, and from there into a life surrendered to Christ. Together they have been blessed with four children and five grandsons, and their greatest joy is seeing God’s hand on their family.
Their testimony begins in broken homes marked by alcoholism and pain. For years they followed the same destructive patterns they had grown up in, until they encountered the love of Jesus. Surrendering their lives to Him broke generational curses and set them on a new path filled with hope, restoration, and purpose.
God placed a call to ministry on their lives, leading them to pastor in South Phoenix and Glendale, Arizona, and into international work. In Noida, India, a church was established that has birthed three baby churches around Delhi and continues to thrive today. They now minister in Chicago’s Humboldt Park neighborhood. Their heart has always been to evangelize—traveling across America and to nations like South Africa, Thailand, Guam, and Australia—with a passion to see the sick healed, the lost saved, and broken homes restored.
What God has done in them as a couple is the foundation of everything they do. Their marriage, their children, and their grandchildren are living testimonies of His mercy, showing that when love is surrendered to Jesus, He can redeem every story and use it to bring life to others. From that place of grace, they carry a deep conviction to believe with and contend for others to see God restore what is broken, heal what is wounded, and redeem what has been lost.
